I had the intent of dissolving my pictures into their abstractions. To give this illusion, I angled the cards slightly to give the image depth. This created the illusion of the image being centered causing the attention to be drawn to the abstract images. The illusion of the spiral though the outer pictures were falling into the center of the storyboard. This in turn, created motion in my piece. The half circle that the photos create gives a slight sense of unity, giving this piece a sense of interconnectedness.
I took photos of my Heartless plushy and of the fan in my room. The contrast between the two images helped to define the organic shapes of the Heartless and the hard, edgier lines of the fan. The intersecting lines of the fan helped to create negative space with angles and create a new center of relationship that has its origin in duality.
